AUBURN — Police responding to a Wednesday morning report of trespassing on Spring Street found a suspect who was more than playing possum.

Patrol officer Devon Bohacik removed an opossum from a home, according to a statement from the Auburn Police Department. Bohacik used his baton, a mop and a towel to show that “nothing is impossumble” for local law enforcement, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page. No injuries were reported.

The opossum was “issued a warning and sent safely on his way,” according to the post.
