AUBURN – Annette P. Remillard, 95, of Auburn, and formerly of Meadowview, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019, at the Odd Fellows and Rebekah’s in Auburn. She was born in Lewiston on Aug. 16, 1923, the daughter of the late Fred and Alphonsine (Poulin) Dubois.  She grew up in the Lewiston area and attended local schools there.

On June 20, 1942, she married John R. Remillard at St. Mary’s Church in Lewiston, and they started a family together. During that time, Annette worked at Bates Mill in the cloth room, Bates College as a maid, d’Youville Pavilion as a CNA and Quinco Fabrics as a slasher. Along with her years in the workforce, Annette dedicated much of her time to tending to her families needs at their home and raising the children as well as taking care of her sister, Yvette, who suffered from multiple sclerosis for 30 years.  She loved her family very much and enjoyed taking care of them.

She will always be remembered for her love of spending quality time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her two sons, Roland Remillard and his wife, Doris, and Normand Remillard and his wife, Susan, all of Leeds.  She also leaves behind her four grandchildren, Michael Remillard, Steven Remillard and his wife, Tammy, Amy Briggs and her husband, David, and Alison Remillard; and four great-grandchildren, Collin Remillard, Titan and Rocklyn Briggs and Westin Ray. She was predeceased by her loving husband, John in 2000; along with her siblings, Roland and Alfred Dubois, Rita Moore and Yvette Rivard.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff, nurses and their doctor at the Odd Fellows and Rebekah’s for the care, compassion and devotion they showed Annette during her time there with them.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019, from 4-7 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at 11 a.m., at Holy Family Church in Lewiston, followed by committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery also in Lewiston.  Arrangements are under the care of The Fortin Group Funeral Home, Cremation and Monument Services 70 Horton St., Lewiston.
