CHESTERVILLE — An electrical fire caused extensive damage to a camp on Sand Pond Road on Monday afternoon, state fire investigator Jeremy Damren said Tuesday.
The fire started between the kitchen stove and the wall, he said.
It was reported by a neighbor about 4:45 p.m.
The camp is owned by Ron and Tammy Deering, who hadn’t been there in about a week, Damren said.
Fire Departments from Farmington, Jay, New Sharon, Temple and Wilton assisted at the scene, Chesterville Fire Chief John Archer said.
The camp was insured, he said.
