Coach: Jarrod Dumas (fifth year)

Last year’s record: 8-5-1

Returning letter winners: Seniors — Zach Taylor (FB), Eric Billings (FB), David Widger (FB), Ian Sweetser (FB); Juniors — Kyle Gauvin (G), Andrew Child (MF); Sophomores — Nathan Buotte (SK), Garrett Carver (MF), Alex Witas (SK), Austin Glover (MF), Andrew Phelps (SK), Joshua Rainey (MF).

Key losses:  Dylan Mawhinney (SK), Carl Zurhorst (MF), Jordan Theriault (FB), Travis Gauvin (SK), FRank Parsons (FB), Zach Sweetser (MF), Nicholas Goff (FB), Jamie Hutchins (FB).

Promising newcomers: Sophomore — Miles Sullivan (MF); Freshmen — Andrew Boucher (MF), Casey Child (SK), Shawn Bennett (SK), Nathan Fitzpatrick (FB), Michael Theriault (FB).

Outlook: The Falcons should be solid defensively with Gauvin back in goal and Taylor, an all-conference pick, leading the way in front of the goal. In addition to the experienced upperclassmen, Mountain Valley has a sophomore group and a promising freshman class that should add some spark to a competitive club in the MVC.

Coach’s comment:

“I’m excited about this team. We had a lot of growth last year, but we’ve put that season behind us. Now, it’s about getting a relatively young team to play proper soccer. We expect to be in most games, and to learn and grow a lot throughout the year. I’m looking forward to it, and I know the guys are too.”  Coach Jarrod Dumas
