RUMFORD — Tables are available for the Oktoberfest to be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Hope Association building at 85 Lincoln Ave. (formerly the Armory).

Last year there were far more vendors than ever before, with 30 tables filled with crafts, baked goods, raffles, holiday gifts and decorations. There were also tables of children’s games and activities and the Rumford Area Rotary held a used book sale featuring a children’s book room.

Now that past vendors have all been contacted, table reservations will be open to the general public after Sept. 10. The Rotary and Hope Association welcome new craft, food and clothing vendors to Oktoberfest. Organizations are also welcome to join the event. Tables are $30 for one or $50 for two. Call 364-4561 or 441-3450 for more information or to receive a table reservation form.

Rotary Interact will also be on hand to serve a pancake breakfast from 8  to 10 a.m. and lunch items. Other vendors will have popcorn and sweets available.

Children’s games with prizes for all will include a ring toss, the popular racehorse wheel and bean bag toss.

There is no admission to Oktoberfest. The day benefits the Hope Association and Rumford Area Rotary’s charities and scholarships.
