LOVELL — On Saturday, Sept. 11, the Mollyockett Chorus will close the summer season at Brick Church for the Performing Arts on a light note.

The ensemble of singing women of Oxford, Androscoggin and Cumberland counties will present its new program, “The Connie Jarson Show,” a spoof on the “Johnny Carson Show.”

The Mollyockett Chorus, which obtained its charter in 1996 with Sweet Adelines International, presents shows and “sing-outs” in full costume and makeup. The women produce shows of their own and have sung with other choruses at Deertrees Theater in Harrison, All-Souls Chapel at Poland Spring and the Sawyer Foundation in Greene as well as in many community settings.

The chorus sings a combination of upbeat songs, ballads and popular show tunes in four-part a cappella harmony. The “Connie Jarson Show” features special guests from the past in a takeoff on the “Johnny Carson Show” and popular songs from the 1920s to the 1990s.

The Mollyockett Chorus will perform at 7:30 p.m. Brick Church for the Performing Arts is on Christian Hill Road. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and younger. They will be available at the door. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call 925-2792 or visit www.lovellbrickchurch.org.
