Army Master Sgt. Anthony F. Zarate has arrived for duty in Denver, Colo.

Zarate, a master trainer, is assigned to the Denver Army Recruiting Battalion. He has served in the military for 15 years.

He is the son of Susan G. Ladde of Weld. His wife, Kelly, is the daughter of Edith Packard of Portland.

Zarate graduated in 1993 from Deerling High School, Portland, and received an associate degree in 2006 from Coastline Community College.
