AUBURN — Aaron J. Copeland, physician assistant, has joined Central Maine Orthopaedics.

Copeland received his bachelor of science degree in athletic training in 2005 from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and completed an athletic training fellowship at the New Hampshire Musculoskeletal Institute in 2006.

He later worked in various high schools in Pennsylvania as an athletic trainer. In May 2010, he received his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of New England, where he also served as class president.

Prior to joining Central Maine Orthopaedics, Copeland completed his clinical rotations at health care facilities in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Copeland has associate professional staff privileges at Central Maine Medical Center, St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and Central Maine Orthopaedics Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Copeland resides in Lewiston and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and is certified by the Athletic Training Board of Certification.
