Cribbage results

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Sept. 16 were: first, Andrea Metayer and Hope Hughes; second, Anita Cusson and Sandy Oliver; third, Jeanne Collette and Irene Beauchesne; fourth, Cecile LeBlond and Mickie Farnum; fifth, Steve Agurkis and Terry Chambers.

The next game will be played at 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23.

Frontiers of the Mind

LEWISTON — Frontiers of the Mind will host gallery-style readings with professional psychic medium Eddita Felt on Monday, Sept. 27. All are welcome and the meetings are free and open to the public. The group meets every fourth Monday of the month at the Lewiston Public Library.

A small potluck will be held from 5 to 5:15 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 5:15.

Bridge play

LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Sept. 20 were as follows: first, Connie and Ron Reynolds; second/third tie: Cynthia and Bill Clifford with Dick Allen and Richard Balian; fourth, Larry Fortier and Rosemarie Goodwin; first in B, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; second, Eileen Potvin and Della Starbird.

Games are played at 9 a.m. every week and a partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie at 754-1431 for information about all duplicate games in the area.

Fellowship

AUBURN — The Young at Heart Fellowship will meet at the Court Street Baptist Church on Tuesday, Sept. 28. A brunch will be served at 10 a.m. and those attending should bring a place setting and an item for the Food Cupboard. The business meeting will follow.

Pastor David Clark will lead the devotions and a program will be presented by Sandy Nisbet. Nisbet sings with the Christian group “The Winsome Souls” and has sung in several area churches. His program will include singing with his guitar and conversation. All senior citizens and their guests are welcome.

Woodmen meeting

AUBURN — Modern Woodmen of America families will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, to learn more about Lifeline and medication dispensing. The program, which will be held at Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St., will feature Cathy White from St. Mary’s.

The presentation is one of many Family Life Programs that Modern Woodmen camps (chapters) present nationwide, which provide the organization’s members with information about health, safety, parenting and other family-related issues. Root Cellar program

LEWISTON — Enrollment is open for Little Sprouts, a free play and learn program for children 4 years of age as of Oct. 15, at the Root Cellar, 89 Birch St. The group will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Space is limited to 15 children. Enrollment forms are available at the Root Cellar and must be completed for each child attending. The program is for children that are not currently enrolled in a Head Start or preschool program and for children who live in the area that the Root Cellar serves.
