LIVERMORE FALLS — RSU 36 Director Jackie Knight was the only candidate to file nomination papers to finish a term vacated by Mac Haynes in August.
Livermore Falls selectmen appointed Knight to fill the seat formerly held by Haynes until the Nov. 2 election.
The term expires in 2012.
Knight previously served as a director of the school system that serves Livermore Falls and Livermore. She most recently served as a town selectman.
Knight was a write-in candidate for a RSU 36 term in June. Another write-in candidate, Ann Souther, also a current board member at the time who hadn’t sought re-election, received a few more write-in votes than Knight.
