At a time when energy and the environment are prominent issues in Maine, residents are fortunate to have David Van Wie running for re-election in House District 105 (New Gloucester, Durham and part of Lisbon).

With 25 years of experience in both the public and private sectors working on energy, natural resources and the environment, he’s a respected, knowledgeable expert on these issues. He demonstrated, in his work on the Utilities and Energy Committee the past two years, that he’s a mediator, willing to reach out to those with other viewpoints and to compromise in a productive way to get work done for the people of Maine.

As an avid fisherman and outdoor enthusiast, David Van Wie understands the importance of preserving what’s best about Maine and will work hard to balance the  needs for affordable, new sources of energy with environmental concerns.
