Society meeting
MECHANIC FALLS — The Mechanic Falls Historical Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, at Congregational Hall. The public is welcome to attend.
Baby event
AUBURN — Maine Families Androscoggin, a program of Advocates for Children, will host a S-M-A-R-T Baby event in partnership with the Auburn Public Library.
The event will take place from 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at the library. Sensory, motor, attachment, reading and temperament stations will have ideas and activities to stimulate a baby’s growth.
The interactive event is for parents with babies newborn to 24 months. No registration is required. For more information, call 783-3990.
Trick-or-treat
LEWISTON — St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion will open its doors to trick-or-treaters from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31. Right now, d’Youville is collecting candy for residents to hand out to children on Halloween.
Unopened, individually wrapped candy may be dropped off in the lobby, 102 Campus Ave.
Trunk-or-treat
AUBURN — Marston’s Corner Baptist Church, 752 Beech Hill Road, will host “Trunk-or-Treat” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30.
The family event will feature decorated vehicle trunks, face painting, carnival games, a bounce house and costume parade. The event is free and open to the community. Food will be served.
Seniors to meet
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Seniors will host a a hot turkey luncheon on Monday, Nov. 1. Reservations should be made by Wednesday, Oct. 27.
The lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m., followed by the general meeting and bingo.
