BRYANT POND — The Whitman Memorial Library will host Laurie Winsor of Androscoggin Home Health Care and Hospice as guest speaker at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4.
November is National Home Care and Hospice Month and that will be the topic. The program is open to the public at no charge and light refreshments will be served.
Nature Club
OXFORD — The Twin Town Nature Club will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, at the Congregational Church, for the Founders Day potluck dinner. Visitors are welcome.

Knitting guild
SOUTH PARIS — The Western Maine Knitting Guild will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at the First Congregational Church. The program will be Christmas sharing ideas and a knit-in.
Bake sale
OTISFIELD — An Election Day bake sale to benefit Otisfield Community Hall will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at the polling place, Otisfield Town Office on Route 121. All donations of baked goods are welcomed.
Society meeting
LOCKE MILLS — The Greenwood Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, at the historical building on Main Street.
Ben Conant will do a program on the history of photography, and will display examples of the earliest types of pictures and processes from his collection. Everyone is welcome.
Fundraiser
LOCKE MILLS — Members of the Jackson-Silver Unit 68 Legion Auxiliary are selling Christmas light bulbs. Bulbs may be purchased in honor or in memory of a loved one or a friend for $2 each.
Bulbs will be for sale until Nov. 29 and the tree-lighting will be on Thursday, Dec. 2. To purchase a bulb, contact Anita Hakala at 875-2375 or 527-2234.
