LEWISTON — Geiger, the nation’s largest privately-owned promotional products distributor, has promoted Dawn LaPrell to the position of office manager for SunGraphix, the company’s manufactured products division.

As office manager, LaPrell will be responsible for overseeing, leading and growing the division’s office personnel. Her duties include supervising the activities and performance of team members, interviewing job applicants, hiring, training, coaching and motivating associates, preparing of performance reviews, and evaluating work flow to determine staffing levels.

LaPrell began working for Geiger in 2000 as a telephone sales representative in the corporate programs division. A year later, she was promoted to customer relations specialist, where she serviced Geiger sales partners in the North and Central regions for the Time by Design division. She then took on the role of program administrator for Time by Design in 2003, managing large corporate branding accounts. Since 2005, she has developed web sites and organized process improvements as project coordinator for SunGraphix.

LaPrell is currently attending Central Maine Community College, where she is working toward an associate’s degree in computer technology. She recently attained the rank of master advertising specialist from the Promotional Products Association International. MAS designees display excellence in all aspects of the promotional products industry in addition to demonstrating leadership qualities and a commitment to the industry.

LaPrell was born in Seoul, Korea, and grew up in Watertown, N.Y., and Auburn.
