BRUNSWICK — Susan M. Buccina, 58, of Shady Lane, Wiscasset, died on Friday, Nov. 5, at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.
She was born in Rumford on May 18, 1952, a daughter of Albert J. and Bernice S. (Bielskis) Comeau. She attended Rumford Schools and graduated from Rumford High School in 1970.
She was employed at Mammoth Mart in Rumford and graduated from Farmington State Teacher’s College. On Aug. 10, 1974, she married Robert F. Buccina and they resided in Bath. In 1978, they moved to Wiscasset. Susan was employed as a teacher at Fisher Mitchell School in Bath and at The Mart in Brunswick.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bath and a member of the M. S. Society.
She was a devoted wife and mother who courageously coped with Multiple Sclerosis for 30 years until she succumbed to pneumonia. She was an inspiration to all who knew her for her endless love and compassion. She also enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was a beautiful woman and she will be missed by all of the people she knew, especially her family and cat, Baxter.
She is survived by her husband, Robert F. Buccina of Wiscasset; her daughter, Stacie M. Buccina of Wiscasset; her mother, Bernice Comeau of Rumford; one sister, Sandra Gamez and her husband, Robert, of Rumford; one brother, Alan Comeau and his wife, Debbie, of West Buxton; one brother-in-law, Peter Buccina of Rumford; one sister-in-law, Janet Clawson of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
