LEWISTON — Gloria M. Fisher, 72, of Auburn died Sunday, Nov. 14, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Jamaica on June 10, 1938, the daughter of Azariah and Winnifred (Cunnigham) Campbell. She worked for many years as a school teacher for Brown’s Town Primary School in St. Ann, Jamaica.

In 1987, she moved to the Lewiston-Auburn area.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Auburn, where she was actively involved as a Sunday School teacher.

She was an auxiliary of Gideon’s International, where she served as state chaplain and secretary/treasurer of the local camp.

She had a deep passion for gardening and enjoyed walking.

Gloria had and unending faith in the Lord. It was through Him where she found the compassion for helping others, especially those in need. Gloria would say “In all of this, be the Glory of God”.

She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline McFarlane of Birmingham, England; her grandson Ryan Dovaston of Birmingham, England; her brothers, Solomon Campbell of Jamaica and Oswald Campbell and wife, Joan, of Turner; her sisters, Cedell Jacobs and husband, Altmon, and Daisy Brown and husband, Sterling, all of Canada; her son-in-law Malcolm; and by many nieces, nephews and all of her beloved friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald N. Fisher.
