NORWAY — The Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main St., will hold its annual Heifer Project Fair under the big white tent from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27.
According to Mickie Shibles, chairperson of the Mission Committee, “The Heifer Project Fair is a wonderful way for all of us to give thanks, by giving to others.”
All are invited to stop by the church parking lot before and during the local parade to hear about the Heifer Project, the youth group’s mission trip and warm their hands on a hot cup of cocoa or coffee. The proceeds from the fair will benefit Heifer Project, International.
This year’s fair is being organized by Beth Allen and Johanna Timberlake and will feature quilted animal pot holders, shares of flocks of chickens and beehives, Christmas ornaments, crafts, fudge, cookies, hot corn chowder, coffee, cocoa and raffle tickets for a handmade “Old MacDonald’s Farm” quilt.
Anyone wishing to donate baked goods or crafts to the Heifer Project Fair may contact the church office at 743-2290.
