FARMINGTON — Police are investigating the theft of a generator and tools from an unlocked building near the new water reservoir on Seamon Road.
Employees of Jordan Excavation, owner of the generator, and In Demand Builders, also from the Kingfield area, discovered the loss Monday morning, Farmington police Chief Jack Peck said. A ladder and a power tool owned by IDB were also taken. The estimated value of the equipment is $2,000, he said.
The new reservoir was built as part of the Mt. Blue High School renovation/expansion and is near the high school. Jordan Excavation has worked over the summer installing water and sewer lines along Whittier Road from Route 2 to the high school.
The theft occurred sometime over the weekend, Peck said. Farmington Officer Wayne Drake is investigating.
