WILTON — The annual holiday social at the Wilton Blueberry Farm will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday Dec. 12.

This year, farm owners Jan Collins and Irving Faunce have asked for contributions from guests to help initiate the “eBook Project” at the Wilton Free Public Library.

“This new service at the Wilton library will allow downloads of ebooks and audiobooks from your home computer or at the library,” Collins and Faunce said, “and it will greatly enhance the number and variety of books available for library patrons.”

Library Director David Olson said books can be downloaded onto some “ereader” devices and the library intends to make some of these available for use.

Funds raised at the social will help with the start-up cost of the project and pay for the first year of service.

The Franklin County Democratic Committee is a co-sponsor of the event. The public is invited.
