TEMPLE — Franklin County deputies are investigating vandalism to a skidder on a job site, Lt. Niles Yeaton said Tuesday.
It was reported Sunday morning that someone had attempted to remove a steel door from a skidder. A hinge is missing from the door of the machine that was parked in the woods off Intervale Road, Yeaton said. The door is all stove up, he said.
The hinge is valued at approximately $100 and the door at more than $2,000, he said.
Some physical evidence was retrieved at the scene and was being taken to the Maine Crime Laboratory on Tuesday.
Deputy David Rackliffe is investigating the criminal mischief and theft. There are no suspects at this time, Yeaton said.
