A 16-year-old Otisfield girl and her 11-year-old family member escaped without injury Sunday afternoon when their SUV slid off a snow-covered road and hit a utility pole. Trooper Daniel Hanson of the Maine State Police said that the girl was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Blazer on Cobb Hill Road about 4:15 p.m. when the vehicle went off the road and hit a pole, which temporarily knocked out power to the area. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $4,000.
