FARMINGTON — Talya came to the Franklin County Animal Shelter with her mother and they were both shy, said shelter staff.

Talya is a kitten with a lot of play left in her life, although she might need a little socializing to bring out her true colors, they said. She gets along great with other felines and is a little timid around dogs, staff added. They believe Talya would blossom in to a beautiful cat in a good home.

Residents may help the shelter win a $5,000 grant from Bangor Savings Bank by going to www.Bangor.com/cmm and cast a vote for the shelter. Voting ends Monday, March 7.
