Mini Forest Diorama
This is a tiny forest that comes straight from your imagination! Use simple shapes, and you can even add animals if you’d like!
Supplies:
• Card stock
• Black permanent marker
• Colored markers
• Scissors
• Small box
1. Gather your supplies
2. With your permanent marker, draw on your trees, mountains, rainbows, etc onto your card stock. Make sure to leave tabs on the bottom of each item.
3. Color your forest items and cut them out. Try using different patterns!
4. Have one of your grownups cut 4 to 5 slits in the top of your small box using an exacto knife.
5. Starting with the largest items in the back, slide the tabs of each forest piece into the slits until you are happy with your diorama! Well done!

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
