RUMFORD — Patrol officers responded to 69 complaints from midnight Feb. 28 to midnight March 6, not including basic traffic stops.

Arrests/summonses

Feb. 28 at 12:02 a.m. — Andrew Milligan, 22, of Rumford was charged with failure to stop for a police officer and speeding, by Cpl. Lawrence Winson on Forest Avenue. Milligan is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on May 3.

March 3 at 11:41 a.m. — Charles L. Gannon Jr., 18, of Rumford was arrested on charges of burglary, theft, violation conditions of release and criminal mischief, by Patrolman Brad Gallant on River Street. Gannon was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on April 5.

March 4 at 2:05 p.m. — An 18 year old from Rumford was arrested on a juvenile warrant for theft, by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld on River Street. Arrestee was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

March 5 at 1:45 a.m. — A 17-year-old from Hartford was charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, by Patrolman Joseph Sage on Rumford Avenue. The boy was turned over to his mother and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on May 3.

March 5 at 2 a.m. — A 17-year-old from Buckfield was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a license, by Patrolman Joseph Sage on Rumford Ave. The teen was bailed and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on June 7.

Theft

March 1 at 6:38 a.m. — Sgt. Douglas Maifeld investigated the theft of a bull pin from a tractor-trailer unit on Route 2. Value of loss: $40.

March 2 at 8:50 a.m. — Patrolman Brad Gallant investigated an incident of a camera and accessories stolen from a vehicle on Waldo Street. Value of loss estimated at $550. Case unfounded. Camera found by victim at home.

March 3 at 3:53 p.m. — Patrolman Brad Gallant is investigating an incident of wood stolen from Route 2. Value of loss: No estimate

Jason Cole, 30, of Mexico, is wanted on an Oxford County Superior Court warrant from Paris on charges of failure to pay fines on an assault. The warrant is dated Jan. 10, 2011.
