LEWISTON — Applications for Healthy Androscoggin’s Work Healthy Award are now being accepted.

The Healthy Awards program recognizes Androscoggin County workplaces for their efforts in the following areas: creating tobacco policies, encouraging physical activity and making healthy food choices, among others. Any size business is eligible. Awards range from Gold to Merit and the minimum requirement to apply is a written tobacco policy.

Work Healthy award winners receive a plaque to display at their work site and recognition in local media. Winners are also applauded at the May 12 Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce breakfast.
