PORTLAND — A Carrabassett Valley selectman will be in court next month after he was arrested in Portland’s Old Port over the weekend on a charge of driving under the influence.
Stephen Pierce, 61, of Carrabassett, was arrested at about 6:45 p.m. Sunday on Fore Street, according to a police report. He was taken to the Cumberland County Jail where he remained until Monday morning.
Pierce, a selectman for the past 15 years and a trustee with the Carrabassett Valley Sanitary District, is scheduled to answer the charge in court on April 7.
