In rebuttal: Carmen Dufresne: All high school seniors should read ‘The 1619 Project’
The only redeeming value of Rich Lowry’s recent column, “No, slavery didn’t create capitalism” (Feb. 9), is that it might pique U.S. citizens’ interest in drawing their own conclusions into reading “The 1619 Project.” In my opinion, “The 1619 Project” should be mandatory reading for all high school seniors so they will learn that the […]

Edmund Lewis: No president should serve beyond age 75
God — whoops, the “king” — has spoken. Anyone who doesn’t know who he is has obviously either been out of the world or is both blind and deaf. Yes, the king is our one-term 45th president, who intends to run again in 2024. My first thought was, where do I run to, and my […]

Rich Lowry: Biden vs. the UFOs
As far as know, we have nothing to fear from little green men. It’s the hostile civilization on the other side of the planet that we have to worry about, and balloons are the least of it.

In rebuttal: Rudolph Ziehm: In search of ‘any middle left’ in American politics
I wonder if there is any middle left in American politics. The Sun Journal on Feb. 10 had three letters. In the first (“Capitalism won’t fix world’s greatest problems“), William Whitney says capitalism can’t be successful in today’s world. Wrong. With all its warts, it is the only system that does work (see pure socialism’s […]
