Brian Ponce is a staff writer for the Franklin Journal, as well as the Livermore Falls Advertiser and the Sun Journal. Prior to joining the Sun Media team, he worked across many different industries ranging from warehouses to restaurants while pursuing his passion for writing on the side. Brian graduated from California State University in San Bernardino, California, with a B.A. in English with a focus on creative writing. Afterward, he performed freelance work documenting local musicians and their music in the High Desert of San Bernardino County. When he is not searching for a story, Brian can typically be found in his native habitat, a comic book shop, researching taco recipes and meandering.

UWTVA’s enters the new year with a new finance director
Lisa Rowe is joining the United Way of the Tri-Valley Area as their new finance director. With more than 20 years of experience, Rowe is excited to hit the books as well as join in on community events, which UWTVA is already planning with some big changes.

Wilton select board heard more concerns on Tuesday, Jan. 3, over Magrath Rd., among other roads, that are closed to winter maintenance. The select board also moves forward with a new computer-aided dispatch and record-keeping system for county emergency services.
