One pedestrian dead, another hurt in separate collisions in Lewiston
Both crashes occurred just after sundown on a late Wednesday afternoon marked by a constant drizzle. The corner of East Avenue and Lisbon Street was expected to remain closed to traffic for several hours.

Man charged with murder after body found at Poland trailer home, police say
Justin Butterfield, 34, of 14 Poplar Drive in Poland charged after body was discovered Thursday morning at trailer where he lived, police say. Family and friends say they have been trying for years to get help for Butterfield. Killed Thursday morning was 38-year-old Gabe Damour.
