Copy Editor / Web Producer
The Sun Journal is seeking a full-time copy editor and web producer for its small but mighty universal copydesk. This person will be responsible for editing stories on deadline; creating crisp and engaging page designs; writing accurate and compelling headlines; curating content for websites and promoting that content on social media channels.
The copy editor and web producer must also demonstrate good news judgment, strong copy editing skills, proficiency with Associated Press style and thorough knowledge of local, state and national news. The ideal candidate will have experience with WordPress and InDesign. Applicants should expect to work nights, with some weekend and holiday shifts.
