Junior hockey notes: Nordiques looking for stronger starts

The Nordiques host a pair of games this weekend, while the Thunder have three games at a showcase.

Some players are leaving their school teams before their four years are up. There’s a debate about whether that’s the right move.

Last year’s Class A state runner-up Biddeford will be the host team for a new boys co-op program, and three boys teams will drop from Class A to B.

The school has reached out to the Portland/Deering hockey programs, but that option is off the table.

Lewiston native is looking to make the Thunder’s Tier II team this year after being the Premier League team’s second-leading scorer last season.

Andy Moore was Greely’s leading scorer this past season and was the Class B South forward of the year.

D’Auteuil said he bleeds the black and white of St. Dom’s, and that he’s wanted to be the Saints’ coach for as long as he can remember.

Bobby Parker led St. Dom’s to it’s first state championship in 19 years as the Saints defeated Biddeford 4-2 on March 9th.
