The Tri-Town Fourth of July Parade returns after not taking place last year. Crowds lined Main St in Jay and Livermore Falls as the parade passed by. There were parade entry winners for most creative, Mario characters, and most patriotic, military truck, as well as judges choice, Red Hats float.

Macomber Hill Road in Jay has a gaping hole caused by heavy rains and flash flooding June 29. Permits are needed to fix the road. The road runs between state Routes 133 and 4 in North Jay. For now, residents who live on the opposite side have to drive around to get to their side of the road.
