The Leavitt Area High School senior hosted the event, which included a food drive for the Turner Community Food Pantry and a check-passing ceremony for a $1,000 donation provided to Carpenter by Gatorade as part of Carpenter being named the Gatorade Maine Football Player of the Year. Carpenter has committed to play football and baseball at the University of Maine next year.
