Lisbon police investigating body found Wednesday in Androscoggin River

Police said there did not appear to be any threat to the public.

The $9.4 million proposal for 2024-25 is nearly 8% more than this fiscal year.

Androscoggin County is forecast to get 8-12 inches and parts of Oxford and Franklin counties perhaps 12-18 inches.

Town officials are also proposing a roughly 7.5% increase in municipal expenditures.

The last day for candidates for town offices to hand in signatures to be on the June 11 ballot is April 12 by 11:30 a.m.

The proposed $4.57 million municipal budget is an increase of about $550,000 over last year.
