The new tentative agreement between the school district and about a 100 of its staff outlines 3 percent raises for each year, plus new paid lunch breaks, a 3-day bereavement leave and other improved benefits.

Over 65 staff members showed up to Wednesday’s school committee meeting to urge the district officials for a new contract with better wages.

Negotiations are underway to find a middle ground between the district and about 100 education technicians and secretaries who have been working on an expired contract since September.
