Mutual aid accounts for 20% of Durham fire and rescue calls
Durham responded to 35 calls in October and 416 overall this year. Calls out to surrounding towns seem to be increasing, but Durham’s priority is safety and continuing to be a good neighbor, said Fire and Rescue Chief Robert Tripp.
