Mic’d up: Edward Little softball senior Lexi Kelsea keeps team loose

Varsity Maine put a mic on Kelsea for the Red Eddies on Wednesday against Camden Hills.

Emily Poulin hits two triples and scores three runs as the Red Eddies won 8-3 in a softball season opener.

Last season’s All-Region Player of the Year, Calvin Vincent of Edward Little, highlights this spring’s standouts.

Some area programs have several players who are new to the sport.

These players look to cause a commotion on the offensive and defensive ends of the field.

Brian Jahna has built up struggling programs at Lake Region and Gray-New Gloucester, and now turns his attention to do the same with the Red Eddies.

These five players put up points, force turnovers and win draws for their respective teams.
