The Edward Little girls’ basketball team won its first state championship Saturday in a 50-49 thriller over Gorham at the Cross Insurance Arena. Grace Fontaine hit the winning free throw in the game’s final second. The boys followed suit, earning their first gold ball since 1946 with a 41-36 win over Scarborough.
