A 54-year-old Old Town woman was killed while walking on Thursday evening. At 6:27 p.m. that night, police received a report of a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle. Old Town boys, Orono girls advance in tourney
The Old Town boys basketball team beat Ellsworth this afternoon 53-50 to advance to the Eastern Maine Class B finals on Saturday at the Cross Insurance Center at 3:45 p.m. Orono’s girls, meanwhile, beat Piscataquis 40-29 this morning to advance to the Class C semifinals, where they will play at 7:05 p.m. on Friday.
City food drive entering final week
The first annual Old Town community food drive to benefit local food pantries is now winding down. All items collected up until Feb. 28 will stay in Old Town and will be dispersed to the local pantries. Milford budget meeting canceled
The Milford budget workshop scheduled for tonight, February 19 has been canceled. The selectmen’s meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. will be held as scheduled. The next budget workshop is scheduled for Monday, March 3, following the selectmen’s meeting.
