Before the recent election, the Republican Party stated how Gov. Baldacci would raise taxes to balance the shortfall now plaguing the state of Maine.

The Republican Party soon forgets how John McKernan Jr. and raised taxes in Maine by a considerable amount.

President George Bush Sr., also a Republican, also promised the general public “no new taxes” by reading his lips.

We read George Bush’s lips all right — and got a major tax increase.

With that we see that the Democrats do keep their word while the Republicans are servants to the wealthy, misleading the middle class
