1927 – 2003
LEWISTON – Harry E. Starbird Jr., 75, of 15 Infiniti Way, Auburn, died Tuesday at Central Maine Medical Center following a long illness.
He was born in Turner, June 8, 1927, the son of Harry E. and Nellie (Sennett) Starbird Sr. He attended Turner schools, and graduated from Leavitt Institute, Class of 1944. He worked for Central Maine Power Co. for 33 years.
He married the former Helen Mason on March 20, 1945. Time spent with his family is what he loved the most.
Survivors include his wife, Helen of Auburn; one son, Chuck and his wife, Shelly Starbird of Minot; one daughter, Janis and her husband, Daniel Perreault of Oxford; one brother, Erland and his wife, Della Starbird of Poland; one sister, Thurlie and her husband, Richard Fish of Vacaville, Calif.; four grandchildren, Tony Starbird, Michelle Perreault, Amy Perreault, and Scott Perreault; two stepgrandchildren, Jenny and Aaron Faulkingham; two great-grandchildren, Hallie Starbird and Emilee Taylor; and several nieces.
He was predeceased by three sons, Anthony, Gary and Barry Starbird.
