1938 – 2003

LEWISTON – Donald J. Wilson, 64, of 26 Kevin St., Lewiston, died unexpectedly Friday morning, April 18, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Lawrence, Mass., on July 11, 1938, the son of James W. Jr. and Wanda R. (Balicki) Wilson and had been a resident of this community since 1986. He loved crafts and woodworking, making furniture and toys for his grandchildren, also he loved the ocean.

He was just a great father grandfather and husband. He will be missed by all his family and friends. He served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife the former June Fenton whom he married on April 23, 1977 of Lewiston; his mother, Wanda Wilson of Salem, N.H.; one son, David Wilson and his wife Cherish of Lawrence, Mass.; two daughters, Cheryl Alakel and her husband David of Arizona, and Donna Doherty and her husband Joseph of Lawrence, Mass.; one stepson, Bernard Woodcock and his wife Tammy of Auburn; one stepdaughter, Karen Pantinas and her husband Charles of Newton, N.H.; one brother, Kenneth Wilson and his wife Marcella of Salem, N.H.; one sister, Ruth Wilson of Salem, N.H.; five grandchildren, Shawn, Joshua and Taylor Alakel all of Arizona, Spencer Wilson and Colin Doherty both of Lawrence, Mass.; three stepgrandchildren, Haley and Ryan Woodcock of Auburn and Nicholas Pantinas of Newton, N.H.; many nieces and nephews; and a long time friend, Georgia Pantinas of Newton, N.H.
