TEMPLE -A thief or thieves made off with a telescope in a break-in at a Varnum Pond Road camp.
About $500 in damage was done to the camp.
Entrance into the camp was gained after a stick was used to break a window, Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy Aaron Turcotte said.
The person or persons rummaged through the camp, he said, and tipped over a television and smashed a portable compact disc player. A telescope valued at $100 to $150 was reported missing, the deputy said.
The break-in occurred between Friday, April 11, and Sunday morning, April 13, Turcotte said.
