RUMFORD – An investigation continues into the reported theft of a pickup truck, taken on April 15 from an Exchange Street residence.
The truck, a 1998 Toyota Tacoma owned by Cory Plante, 20, of Rumford, was located the next day in Dixfield, “out in the willywhacks” on a skidder road, said Sgt. Stacy Carter.
It had been damaged, he added.
According to investigating officer David Bean’s report, the driver’s side door was left unlocked, but Plante didn’t believe he had left the key in the vehicle.
