1918 – 2003
FARMINGTON – Bernice F. Kenney, 84, of Farmington, formerly of Temple died Monday night, April 21, at Orchard Park Rehabilitation & Living Center.
She was born Aug. 7, 1918, in Jonesboro, the daughter of Harold and Ermina (Shuman) Feeney. She was educated in the schools of Jonesboro and graduated from Wilton Academy. She attended Bliss Business College in Lewiston.
She married Lloyd Kenney July 16, 1938 in Wilton. “Niecie” worked at Middle Dam and Parmachinee Camps with her husband for several years as a hostess. She also worked for Holman’s Drug Store, Freeman’s Pharmacy and for many years at G.H. Bass Shoe Co. until she retired due to ill health. She enjoyed the outdoors and was an ardent hunter, also enjoying ice fishing, camping and traveling.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Irene Karkos of Wilton and Marie Archer of N. Chesterville; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
