1923 – 2003
LEWISTON – Claire A. Vaillancourt, 79, formerly of 123 Old Lisbon Road, died Tuesday morning, April 22, at St. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion after a long illness.
Born in Lewiston Sept. 20, 1923, the daughter of William and Clara Langelier Vaillancort. She was educated in local schools, prior to her retirement she worked at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center as a housekeeper for many years. She was a member of Holy Cross Church and Cerile Ste Sacrement.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Laurent (Stella) Chouinard of Ste Foy P.Q., Miss Yvette Vaillancourt of Lewiston; one brother, Roland and his wife Laurette Vaillancourt of Brunswick; her caretaker niece, Constance and her husband Robert Caron; also several other nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one sister, Miss Muriel Vaillancourt; and by one brother, William (Bill) Vaillancourt.
