1914 – 2003

LEWISTON – Doris Prevost Misiorek, 88, a resident of Waldo Street, Rumford, died Thursday, April 10, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.

Born in Rumford, July 7, 1914, the daughter of Gideon and Odelie Dupuis Prevost, she was educated in the schools of Rumford.

On Jan. 27, 1940 she married John Misiorek in Brooklyn, N.Y. He died Feb. 24, 1975. Mrs. Misiorek was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cards and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. John (Charlyne) Stegman of Lisbon Falls; one sister, Mrs. James (Hazel) Buccina of Rumford; one brother, Alvin Prevost and his wife, Terri of Rumford; three grandsons, Royce, Carl and Kyle; and six great-grandchildren.
