AUBURN – Rebecca Webber, a partner in the law firm of Linnell, Choate & Webber LLP, has recently given several talks on employment law and litigation practice. On April 4, she spoke at a national gathering of employment attorneys in Boston on employment trial practice. On April 1, she and Lenny McKenna, an investigator with the Maine Department of Labor, spoke at an Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce brown bag lunch.

She and McKenna provided information about handling wage and hour issues from the perspective of an employer. On March 25, she taught a three-hour class on employment law issues for small businesses as part of SAD 52’s adult education program. In February, she taught an all-day class on advanced employment law to employers and attorneys, including ethical issues, wage and hour issues, and harassment prevention.

Since 1994, Webber has practiced law at Linnell, Choate & Webber. Prior to that, she was in the litigation department of Palmer & Dodge in Boston. Linnell, Choate & Webber provides legal services to individuals, companies, and municipalities throughout Maine. It has been in operation since 1931.
