Pam Chenea has joined the Child Health Center’s Parent Place program as a prenatal/parent educator and case manager. She will work in a home visitation program offering parent education and support.

Chenea graduated from the New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Boston as a registered nurse and has experience in maternity, pediatric and home health nursing. After moving to Maine she worked as a home visiting nurse for the Androscoggin Home Health Services in Lewiston and later became a supervising nurse at the Russell Medical Center in Leeds.

After spending some time at home raising her four children Chenea studied part time at the University of Maine Farmington and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in psychology. Just prior to joining the Parent Place Chenea worked as a Healthy Families Home Visitor for the Children’s Task Force in Farmington.

The Child Health Center is a nonprofit organization located in Norway and offering services in Androscoggin and Oxford counties. The Parent Place has offices in Norway, Auburn and Rumford.
