MEXICO – Region 9 Learning Center has announced some fall courses to be held at the center.

A certified nursing assistant course is offered starting Tuesday, Sept. 10. The course combines 150 hours of theory and practical experience in various health-care settings. Tuition of $550 includes books and insurance. The instructor will be registered nurse Martha Watson.

Charlie Jaros will teach an introduction to computers course. The course will introduce students to the basic computer terminology, application of software and hardware.

The course will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuition is $40. Call the center to find out which night the course will be available.

Jaros will also teach a word processing with word class. Students will learn the basics of saving and retrieving documents, file management and text formatting. The class will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Check with center on which evening it will be available. Tuition is $40.
